Solaray Canal Stormwater Treatment Area : Seminole County, Florida

Westwind is constructing under SJRWMD direction and supervision The Solary Canal Storm water Treatment Area, which was initiated in a group effort, by Seminole County, the cities of Winter Springs, and Oviedo, Florida. When completed the new system of Weirs will divert trash and possible contamination away from Lake Jessup and several groundwater springs. These possible contaminants are then diverted to the Overflow Weir, where it flows into a pond to be filtered, or cleaned out. The clean water flows back into the wetlands, then back into Lake Jessup, keeping its environment pristine and protected!
