Westwind completes the East Central Regional Rail Trail Segments 1 & 2
The ECRRT project was a 5.7 mile long multi-use trail located in Volusia County, Florida. The trail was built within a Florida Greenways Rails to Trails right-of-way, on top of an old railroad bed. It includes wooden boardwalks constructed over wetlands, concrete and asphalt pavement, wood rail fencing, and rest areas. At a cost of $1.8 million to Volusia County, the completion of the trail marks a significant contribution to the Florida Greenways trail system.
